Dr. Vicky Than

Dr. Vicky Than is an optometric physician who takes pride in providing the highest quality health care to each and every patient she evaluates. Dr. Than is passionate about her patient’s individual needs and goes to great lengths to ensure her patients leave with an exceptional experience.

Dr. Than was born in Vietnam and speaks fluent Vietnamese. She attended optometry school at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico where she learned how to speak Spanish. Dr. Than is fluent in 3 languages and can provide full comprehensive examinations in Vietnamese, Spanish, and English. She was raised in California and attended the University of California, Riverside where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she worked for a local optometry office; this was her first exposure to the field of optometry. Dr. Than was immediately drawn into her new job and found a great deal of pleasure in helping patients. After a few months, she decided this was her calling and went on to pursue her career in optometry.

During Dr. Than’s 4th year of optometry school, she did a rotation in Pinellas county and fell in love with the gulf coast area of Florida. Upon graduating from Optometry school, Dr. Than relocated to Tampa Bay where she has been practicing at Beyond 2020 Vision Specialists. Dr. Than provides a full scope of services ranging from comprehensive eye examinations for glasses and contacts to medical exams and foreign body removals.

She has a very caring bedside manner and enjoys getting to know her patients and treating them like family. On her days off Dr. Than enjoys time with her family, lounging with her puppies, or scouting out a new restaurant.
