Beyond 2020 Is Now a Clinical Teaching Site for Rocky Mountain University

We’re proud to share that Beyond 2020 Vision Specialists has been approved as a clinical rotation site for the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions College of Optometry in Provo, Utah.

Becoming a teaching site took more than a year and a half of preparation and review. It means our doctors, our offices and the care we provide have been evaluated and approved to help train future optometrists.

What is a clinical rotation?

In the final stage of their Doctor of Optometry education, students complete clinical rotations: hands-on training in working eye care practices, guided by experienced doctors. Beginning in 2027, Rocky Mountain University students will train with our doctors at Beyond 2020 locations.

What it means for you

  • Every student works under direct supervision. A licensed optometrist or physician oversees and confirms every part of your care.
  • Your doctor is still your doctor. If you’d prefer your exam without a student present, just let us know. It won’t affect your care or your appointment.
  • A practice that keeps learning. Teaching keeps our team current on the latest clinical standards, and we’re proud to give back to the profession.

Thank you to our patients and our team for making this possible. We look forward to welcoming our first students in 2027.
