Planning Your Visit

Everything you need for your appointment.

A little preparation makes your visit quick and easy.

Here's what to bring, when to arrive and what to expect when you see us.

The front desk and waiting area

What to bring

  • Your driver's license or photo ID
  • Your vision and medical insurance cards
  • Your current glasses and contact lenses, or the contact lens box
  • A list of the medications you take
  • Previous eye records or test results, if you have them

Arrive a little early

30 minutes earlyNew patients, so there's time to fill out paperwork at the office.
10 minutes earlyReturning patients.

What to expect

Most visits begin with a few quick tests by our technicians, followed by your exam with the doctor, who will explain what they find and answer your questions. If you need glasses, our opticians can help you choose frames, and many single-vision prescriptions can be made while you wait at our Odessa office.

Your eyes may be dilated, which can make them sensitive to light for a few hours. Bring sunglasses, and plan for a driver if you're not comfortable driving afterward.

Cancellation policy

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, so we can offer the time to another patient. Thank you!

“I highly recommend this practice. Both Dr. Than and Dr. Tumolo are wonderful. Kind, caring, and excellent at what they do. There was no wait for my appointment. I walked into the office and immediately was taken care of.”
