For Referring Doctors
Refer a patient to Dr. Tumolo.
Local retina specialists and other physicians refer patients to Dr. Christopher Tumolo for detailed refractions and glasses when vision is hard to correct. We see new referrals the same week at our Odessa and East Lake (Palm Harbor) offices and report back in whatever way works for you.
How to refer
- Call either office. Odessa (813) 926-5993 · East Lake (727) 242-8388
- Fax a referral with the patient’s diagnosis and relevant findings. Fax: (813) 909-0333 (both offices).
- Hand your patient our card, or contact Dr. Tumolo directly. Call the Odessa office and ask for him.
Please don’t send patient information by regular email or through this website.
What your patient receives
- A same-week appointment with Dr. Tumolo, with as much time as the visit needs.
- OPD-Scan III wavefront testing and a refraction adapted to reduced vision on the Nidek RT-6100, including larger steps, a ±0.50 cross cylinder and single-letter isolation for macular patients.
- Trial frame confirmation and lens design matched to their vision, including single-vision lenses for eccentric fixation, higher reading adds, prism and freeform AI-designed lenses.
- Precise measurements by licensed opticians.
Reporting back
We send our findings back however you prefer: a letter, a call, a secure message, or not at all. Just let us know when you refer.
