Orthokeratology (Ortho-k)

Orthokeratology

Clear vision while you sleep.

Clear daytime vision without surgery, glasses or daytime contacts.

Orthokeratology (ortho-k) corrects your vision overnight with custom lenses, so you wake up seeing clearly.

How it works

Ortho-k uses custom gas permeable lenses worn overnight. They gently and temporarily reshape the front of the eye (the cornea) while you sleep. In the morning you take them out and see clearly through the day.

The effect is temporary: if you stop wearing the lenses, your eyes return to their original shape.

What it can correct

  • Nearsightedness (myopia), the most common use
  • In some cases, mild astigmatism or farsightedness
  • Often used for children to help manage myopia

Is it right for you?

Most people with mild to moderate myopia are good candidates, especially those who find glasses or daytime contacts inconvenient for sports, swimming or work. Your doctor will measure your eyes to confirm.

“The Beyond 2020 team are so amazing and helpful. Each and every employee is welcoming and professional. My husband and I were seen by Dr. Than, and she was such a delight. She addressed any questions we had and explained how we could fix it.”
